1998 EFTC OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT |
TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATION
Each match will be the best of 3 sets wit a 7-point tiebreaker to be played in all sets, should the game be equal to 6 all.
Balls will only be provided for final matches. Players are equally responsible for the provision of 3 balls for earlier rounds. The loser retains the balls used during the match.
Players will be responsible for line calls pertaining to his/her court. Chair umpire and Linesmen will be provided for final matches only.
All matches will be played as scheduled. Any matches that cannot be played must be brought to the attention of the Tournament Coordinator no later than 3 days PRIOR to the scheduled match. Each player will be allowed one match adjustment only throughout the tournament.
Matches can be played outside the tournament venue if it is the convenience of both players with the approval of the Tournament Committee. The winner will be responsible for reporting the result of the match to the Tournament Committee within 24 hours after the match.
Any player reporting more than 15 minutes late for his/her match will result in a walkover.
Only 10 minutes warm-up will be allowed for every match. Players will be allowed strict one-minute break during changes over. In case of disability caused by an accident during the match, no more than 3 minutes should be spent in diagnosis/prognosis. In no case should be injured player be allowed to leave the court area, nor should more than approximately 15 minutes total elapsed before either play is resumed or a default declared.
The tournament Committee reserves the right to upgrade any player found to be mis-representing his/her actual class/category.
In case of dispute not included in the above, the Tournament Committee will refer to the USTA Rules & Regulations and Committee's decision shall be final.
No entry forms will accepted in any event after the closing date of submission of entries. Replacement will be allowed in the doubles category if the other player withdraws his/her entry provided that they have not yet played their first match, subject to Committee's approval.
Health problems and physical injuries occurred during the span of this tournament shall not be the responsibility of EFTC. Player(s) joining this tournament must be physically fit and shall be at his/her own risk, if any at any circumstances, sustain health or injury problem during matches.
Entry fees must be paid upon submission of entry forms and must reach EFTC Tournament Coordinator at Marina Club Swimming Pool Counter before mid-night of December 1, 1998.
